Reflections
I seem to be getting a lot of my requirements under the multiple category. I think it's primarily because I eat a lot of packaged foods. The Big Mac and fries was on a whim because hubby was in the mood for McDonald's. If I hadn't spilled my iced tea in the doorway when I was walking through the door tonight, that would have been on the list, as well.

Reflections
No real reflections on the food aspect of it -- Avon order came today, and Little One was kind of whiny no matter what I tried to do with him. He's feeling better, but I don't think he's 100% yet. So that might have played in me going more for multiple ingredient convenience meals.

It was "Take the meal out of the freezer" day. Lasagne is truly the perfect food. I only had two sugars with my tea today because the cup was small, and I thought a third sugar would have made it too sweet. At least Christopher was feeling better, although a little cranky today.

I think a lot of what I ate was because I was worried about my son Christopher. Right now he's not feeling well, and I don't know if he's coming down with a cold or is teething again (hubby was supposed to check his mouth). I'm hoping in the morning that he will be feeling better. I know right now my own eyes are starting to feel a little warm, so I might be coming down with something, too.

No real veggies or fruits today -- closest was the oatmeal. Ice cream would have been on here, too, if hubby hadn't gotten mint ice cream, which I don't really care for -- don't like the aftertaste.

Almost the End of the Year
The project officially starts tomorrow. But here are a few food-related news items that I thought that people might be interested in.
Move Over, Jared from Subway -- Here Comes Christine for Taco Bell! She calls it the "Taco Bell Diet," but my feeling is that she substituted what she would normally eat at Taco Bell with the "healthier options," and then ate healthy the rest of the time, as well. But I think the name might lead some people to believe that's all she ate the entire time.
The Decade of the Foodie An interesting article on how food dominated the last decade.
Kim Kardashian Sued by "Cookie Diet" Makers Because QuikTrim is so much healthier.
The Tapeworm Diet For some reason this is coming back, even though the FDA has banned this particular diet.
Predicted Food Trends for 2010
2009 A Year To Remember Food-Wise In reading the first paragraph of that article, I discovered that someone else already did a similar project to what I'm about to attempt. I'm hoping that my attempt is a different take on what he did -- my concept is more along the lines of what we average monkeys eat over the course of a year.
Have a Happy New Year, stay safe, and don't drink too much.
